History (How they choose to take the test to enter): Doc has no memory up until the age of eleven. Vaguely she remembers being introduced to a large group of people in a small town in the boonies of Ohio. She had been dropped off at a hospital bloody and beaten when she was ten, the doctors believing her head wound was the cause for her loss of memory.
Having no family she was adopted by a nurse named Dorothy, from then she was raised between Dorothy and several others. Her name was even an unknown.
She was told that she would say the word doc over and over for days, inspiring the nickname, shortly after her legal name was made to be Doss Holmes. Despite that she was called Doc.
By the time she was fifteen she had left her little home in search of answers on who she was. Ending up in the city she became a bit of a street doctor, she was good at it. It was when she was sixteen that her name Doc came to have meaning.
She'd been treating a man of gun shot wounds, singing to him even. His situation was to grave for her to tell him, though someone how he knew. And asked that she carry out his job.
To kill a man.
She had refused at first but eventually accepted on the basis that the target deserved death. It was then that D.O.C. Came to mean "Death On Commission."
Her weapon being a bow, her shots appeared to be midrange due to the shape of the wounds, causing the police to assume the cause of death was a sniper shot. Her shots actually preformed closer than they appeared, she would wait until she was sure her target was dead to retrieve her arrow.
After two years she couldn't handle moving around so much and decided to find a school to finish out in. Finding that dark forest coast school would be good as it was a boarding school.

Taking a canoe along the waterways towards the small town. It was no different than the one she grew up in. As soon as she knew she was close to the schools docks she let her boat ride the current. Laying on the floor of the canoe, a ribbon across her hands. Playing cats cradle by herself.
"My child arrived just the other day
He came to the world in the usual way
But there were planes to catch and bills to pay
He learned to walk while I was away
And he was talkin' 'fore I knew it, and as he grew
He'd say "I'm gonna be like you dad
You know I'm gonna be like you"
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home dad?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then
My son turned ten just the other day
He said, "Thanks for the ball, Dad, come on let's play
Can you teach me to throw", I said "Not today
I got a lot to do", he said, "That's ok"
And he walked away but his smile never dimmed
And said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah
You know I'm gonna be like him"
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then
Well, he came home from college just the other day
So much like a man I just had to say
"Son, I'm proud of you, can you sit for a while?"
He shook his head and said with a smile
"What I'd really like, Dad, is to borrow the car keys
See you later, can I have them please?"
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home son?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then
I've long since retired, my son's moved away
I called him up just the other day
I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind"
He said, "I'd love to, Dad, if I can find the time
You see my new job's a hassle and kids have the flu
But it's sure nice talking to you, Dad
It's been sure nice talking to you"
And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He'd grown up just like me
My boy was just like me
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home son?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then" she sang. Humming the last note as her canoe hit the dock. Carefully she stood and tied her canoe off.
